The Rochester Red Wings finished a 2-game sweep of the Syracuse Chiefs with a 3-1 win on Friday.
Scott Diamond got the win, pitching 6.1 innings of scoreless baseball. Aaron Bates and Renee Tosoni each had an RBI for Rochester. The third Wings run came in the ninth inning when Ray Chang was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
Bryce Harper, the top prospect in the Washington Nationals organization and arguably all of baseball, went 1-4 with a single. He finished the series 3-8 without driving in a run.
Rochester comes home to Frontier Field for their home opener Saturday, April 7 against Buffalo. It's the first game of a 7-game homestand for the Red Wings. First pitch is scheduled for 4:05 pm.
