The Rochester Rhinos are in trouble in the playoffs. Playing a man down after a red card against Max Ferdinand in the 23rd minute, the Rhinos gave up a pair of goals to the Puerto Rico Islanders and lost 2-0.  The series now moves to Rochester on Saturday night. Since this is a 2 game, aggregate goal series, the Rhinos will need to outscore Puerto Rico by at least 2 goals on Saturday to extend the series to an overtime.
The Rhinos have actually been in the opposite position in the last 2 years against the Islanders in the playoffs. In 2009 they led 2-0 after the opening game in Rochester only to lose the series 3-2.  In 2008, the Rhinos led 2-1 after the first game, only to lose 5-3 to Puerto Rico.
