The Western New York Flash, playing without stars Marta and Alex Morgan along with seven other regular players, knocked off the Boston Breakers 3-2 at Sahlen's Stadium. The top players from the Flash, along with several members of the Breakers, had commitments to their national teams as they get ready for the upcoming World Cup in Germany
In Friday night's Flash win, they got two goals from McCall Zerboni and another score from Brittany Bock as they built a 3-1 lead. Boston closed to within a goal late and had several chances to tie but the Flash held on for their 4th win of the year.
The next game for the Western New York Flash comes up on Sunday, May 22nd when Abby Wambach and her team, the MagicJack of Washington D.C come to Rochester.
