SACRAMENTO, C.A. - The WNY Flash didn't have to look for a new league for long. After the news broke that the WPS was suspending play for the 2012 season, the Flash has found a home in the WPSL, according to the league's website.
Along with the Boston Breakers the Flash will be part of what is being called the "WPSL Elite League," a higher-level competition league with teams from the WPS involved. Joining from the WPSL will be teams from Indiana and Chicago. Other teams that will join the elite league will be announced in the coming weeks.
As of late Sunday night, there was no mention of the move to the WPSL on the WNY Flash website.
