BUFFALO, N.Y. - Hoping to help their chances of playing their way into the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, the Sabres acquired center Brad Boyes from the St. Louis Blues late Sunday night, less than 24 hours before the NHL's trade deadline.
Boyes has 12 goals and 29 assists in 62 games with the Blue this season.
In exchange for Boyes, the Sabres have sent the Blues a second-round pick in the 2011 Entry Draft.
