NEW YORK - Ryan Miller looked like the goaltender that Sabres fans had come to love (and miss as of late) this past week, and for his efforts was named the NHL's first star of the week.

Miller led Buffalo to a 3-0 record this past week, including shutout wins over Montreal and New Jersey.  He stopped 83 of the 85 shots that he faced, a .976 save percentage.

Miller is 33-21-8 on the season for the Sabres, with a 2.58 GAA and a save percentage of .916.

Buffalo currently leads Carolina by five points for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.  The Sabres return to action on Tuesday at Toronto.
