Rochester, N.Y. - Free rides are available to election sites—for people who need a ride in a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

The City of Rochester and Monroe County announced “Democracy Rides” which matches volunteers with people who need rides to the polls.

Those who need a ride must call by Friday, November 2, at 4 p.m.

Medicab Transportation: 342-7150

Medical Motor Service: 654-7030

Monroe Ambulance and Medical Transportation: 232-9000

Those who need a ride should expect to give the location of their polling place when setting up their ride. For information on polling places, call the Monroe County Board of Elections at 753-1550, or visit Monroe County’s Web site.
