We are getting to the time of the year when we can see significant changes in the weather from one day to another. In many ways this is the battle between the spring and winter season. This is certainly evident when we look at the recent weather history of St. Patrick’s Day. The average high temperature is 43 degrees and the low is 25 degrees. However, in 2007, Rochester only reached 31 degrees and we recorded an incredible 8.3” of snow for the day. In contrast, March 17th 2003 recorded a high temperature of 67 degrees; this holds as the warmest St. Patrick’s Day since 2003. This year we are looking at above normal temperatures again as the mercury could climb into the 50s.
