Have you heard of cloud seeding experiments in meteorology? If you haven’t, cloud seeding experiments attempt to create precipitation in clouds that under ordinary circumstances would not produce any rain or snow in nature. The Chinese Government recently attempted a cloud seeding experiment over drought stricken portions of northern and eastern China. The cloud seeding experiment combined with unusually cold temperatures to produce some of the earliest seasonal snow in Beijing in over 10 years. Cloud seeding experiments create snow and rain through the injection of a cooling agent into the atmosphere such as Silver Iodide or dry ice.
