Memorial Day is now known as the “unofficial start of summer” and this year we finally have the weather to match the calendar. We anticipate that your holiday will feel more like the middle of July rather than late May. This change can be attributed to a ridge of high pressure which is building back across the eastern half of the United States and this should result in the temperatures rising into the 80s across Western New York. However, lake side temperatures may remain in the 70s. The official record high temperature for Monday is 94 degrees set back in 1987. Along with the warmth, we will find increasing amounts of humidity with dew point temperatures climbing significantly. The tropical weather will come to an end by the middle of the week.
