Rochester, N.Y. - P
atients who go to Rochester General Hospital for surgery will be able to go to one place for pre-surgical testing.
Tuesday afternoon the Rick Constantino, M.D. Patient Access Center opened to the public.
Patients will use the center for pre-surgery tests and to fill out paperwork.
Rochester General Hospital hopes the new center will reduce patient stress by locating these services in one place.
“First, we are excited to know that our patients will enjoy a better experience, one more aligned with our values of service excellence and convenient access." says Mark Clement, President and CEO of Rochester General Health System. "And, second, we have the opportunity to honor Rick Constantino, an extraordinary physician who is both admired and respected by his patients.” The center itself was made possible by a series of gifts made in Constantino’s honor by friends, family members, co-workers and patients.
A total of 87 donors contributed just over $1.1 million towards construction of the PAC.
