Texas - (AP) - States across the nation are seeing a spike in the number of west nile virus cases.
The C-D-C says it's the worst outbreak in years.
People have already died in Oklahoma, North Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas.
Texas is the hardest hit state with 336 cases and at least 16 deaths.
The mayor of Dallas is declaring an emergency because of the outbreak.
Some communities have already done ground spraying but the emergency declaration clears the way for aerial spraying to kill the infected mosquitos that carry the disease.
