Philadelphia - Researchers at the Pennsylvania School of Medicine have found that patients who suffer from insomnia also show an increased risk for heart failure.

They studied patients with at least three symptoms of insomnia, including difficulty falling asleep, having poor sleep quality, or waking often.

Insomniac patients showed almost five times greater risk of heart failure, compared to patients with no insomnia symptoms.
