Rochester, N.Y. - A health care provider in Rochester has received shipments of a steroid suspected of causing a meningitis outbreak according to the Wall Street Journal.
Throughout nine states -- none of them New York -- more than 90 people have gotten sick -- and 7 have died.
The Center for Disease Control reports that Rochester Brain and Spine is one of three health care providers in New York to have received the steroid.
The state health department says all the suspect batches have been pulled from use.
