Rochester, N.Y. – The Go Red Campaign is bringing awareness to the number one killer of women in the Unites States.
Friday, February 3 has been dubbed “Wear Red Day” by the American Heart Association as an effort to educate more women about heart health. 150 Rochester-area businesses and organizations, including 13WHAM, will participate.
More women die of heart disease than all forms of cancer combined. Currently, nearly eight million women in the U.S. are living with heart disease, but only one in six American women believes that heart disease is her greatest health threat.
