Rochester, N.Y. - A local family donated their time and money this past Memorial Day weekend to support the Wilmot Cancer Center.
Bebette Yunis was diagnosed two years ago with a very rare form of lymphoma. Today, she is a survivor after receiving treatment at the Cancer Center.
Yunis lives in Elmira but has many family members in Rochester.
Her family hosted a fundraiser at her father Nicholas Yunis' home on Keuka Lake which also coincided with her 50th Birthday celebration. Over 300 people attended.
The family took donations as well as held a silent auction.
Together they raised over $100,000.
100% of the proceeds will go to the Wilmot Cancer Center.
