At Tender Loving Family Care we are dedicated to ensuring quality care is delivered in a caring, compassionate and consistent manner to each individual client. To accomplish this, Tender Loving Family Care (TLFC) has developed numerous systems and programs to manage the delivery of care to our clients. TLFC's quality assurance programs and systems include:
Individualized Care Plan
TLFC's staff, typically a Registered Nurse (RN), develops an individualized care plan for each client identifying the tasks to be completed on a daily basis. Registered Nurses (RN’s) supervise our HHAs/PCAs by reviewing each client’s care through daily progress notes as well as conducting random home visits. This helps to define expectations for each client up front, ensuring all team members know their responsibilities. Care Coordinators and Managers may also conduct home visits.
Daily Client Progress Notes
TLFC's Staff, chart and report the status of the client each day they work. The report includes tasks completed as well as observations or updates of client behavioral changes, vital sign tracking, intake/output tracking, etc. Our goal is to personalize the client progress notes so we can track and record information identified as pertinent.
TLFC has implemented a state-of-the-art telephony system, to ensure our caregivers are providing our clients at the proper time lines set in the Individualized Care Plan and schedule. Our caregivers call in/out for each shift as they arrive and leave each clients residence. In the event a caregiver does NOT call in on time for their scheduled client the TLFC Office staff will receive an automatic page alerting them. This system is active 24/7 and allows TLFC to be proactive and accountable for each expected start and end time.
Caregiver Education and Training
All Tender Loving Family Care employees are required to attend an initial orientation, to familiarize themselves with the required processes and procedures. All staff is required to attend Continuing Education, keeping up to date on regulations and procedures. TLFC also offers Staff exclusive specialized training programs ensuring the expectations of our Clients and Families have been met and or exceeded. In addition, we conduct "Patient Specific" training to ensure the patients needs are being appropriately met. This ensures TLFC Staff provide the Best Care Possible
Tender Loving Family Care tracks all employee documents such as personal identification documents, insurance, personal and professional certifications, ensuring we employ only the best caregivers to meet your needs.
At Tender Loving Family Care we are committed to providing consistent high quality home care and services. We are only a phone call away – 24 hours a day, seven days a week to handle any concerns our clients or their families may have. We do acknowledge there are times when service issues may arise or miscommunications may occur. Tender Loving Family Care staff is committed to providing quick and responsive customer service. We will investigate every issue of concern in a timely manner and do our best to ensure the issue is resolved to continually provide the quality of care and services our clients have come to expect.
Tender Loving Family Care, Inc. has an extensive Quality Improvement Program with a focus on improving the patient experience. We strive to set the standard for legal, ethical and appropriate business practices while providing our patients with the highest quality care and our employees with a safe and ethical place to work.
Quality Improvement Categories
- Patient Satisfaction and Employee Satisfaction are monitored through surveys with close attention to the resulting data used to improve both the employee and patient experience continually.
- The Corporate Compliance Program ensures the organization compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations including conflict of interest, and patient/customer confidentiality; provides a written code of conduct for employees; exemplifies company policies and procedures that impact patient outcomes.
- Risk Management is addressed through close monitoring of patient incidents and concerns and employee occurrences.
- An Improving Organizational Performance Plan is developed and implemented annually.
Founded by Annika DAndrea, Tender Loving Family Care started with just one client and one employee. Today we established an excellent reputation in our service areas with our families, employees, and clients.
"Caring for the elderly is what I have done for as long as I can remember. My friends and I spent countless hours going to peoples homes after attending church, doing chores, or serving meals, depending on our age and abilities. I remembered how I felt seeing the difference we made in these families lives. The joy and smiles were unforgettable and I have always sought out ways to put a smile on faces ever since.
Making a difference as a nurse was a perfect fit to serve and bring back those childhood memories. I soon realized that bringing joy and smiles became more and more difficult in an instructional setting. Although the facility had many wonderful, caring nurses, caregivers, and other staff, the fact is, most patients feared being institutionalized and the anger they felt was overwhelming. In many cases, the patients anger and loss of hope made it impossible to bring joy to their hearts. I often listened while patients vented in anger about being away from their homes, while on the other hand, there were families who would often be frustrated, even infuriated by the lack of community-based programs available. This would leave the families with no alternative but to move their loved ones from the comfort of their homes and place them in a facility against their wishes.
With my passion for caring and my strength and expertise in understanding the needs of individuals to age-in-place, I felt the jolt and started Tender Loving Family Care.

I have a strong passion for helping people and feel that I have found my niche here at Tender Loving Family Care. It is fulfilling to work with our clients and employees and help make a difference in their lives. We have a wonderful staff here, and strive for customer service that is unmatched in our industry. I previously worked as the Client Care Coordinator, and Assistant Administrator where I have been able to personally connect with our clients as well as their families.
In my new role as Administrator, I am responsible for administrative overseeing of the agencys therapeutic consumer service activities, the overall maintenance and agency operation, and maintaining compliance with federal, state and local codes, regulations and ordinances. I will maintain strong interactions with clients, family members and caregivers to facilitate an unbiased environment. I am thankful to be part of the service that Tender Loving Family Care provides. Recently, I have become a Certified Super Noggin Brain Fitness Instructor and I am very excited about new endeavors that are on the horizon.
I was honored to be asked by Annika DAndrea to become a member of the Tender Loving Family Care Organization (TLFC). I have been watching this dynamic CEO grow her business through nurturing the community, as well as the chosen people who surround her. There are very few that could match Annikas professional and persistent work ethic that has made her a champion in this industry. It is my pleasure to represent her company, and to get her message and mission of caring out to the counties and communities that TLFC serves.
I am excited to use my experience helping to grow many Fortune 500 Companies, as well as my natural gift of developing relationships to insure that TLFC continues to be far reaching. My energetic entrepreneurial style is a perfect match for TLFC!
