Batavia, N.Y. -- Jared A. Peters, a 5th grader at Pembroke Intermediate School has died.
Genesee County Interim Public Health Director Randy Garney said the child died approximately a week and a half ago, and autopsy results from Albany eventually confirmed that swine flu was
a contributing factor.The health department did indicate the superintendent of the school district the child attended had been notified of the student’s death.
