Rochester, N.Y. – A jury on Friday convicted Donyell McKenzie guilty of Murder in the Second Degree.
McKenzie killed his girlfriend, 23-year-old Tyffany Porter, in December of 2006. He stabbed Porter 47 times in front of a family member before fleeing the scene.
McKenzie was found guilty of murdering Porter in 2007, but the New York State Court of Appeals determined that the jury should have been allowed to consider a lesser charge.
McKenzie has been held without bail since his original arrest and will be sentenced on December 5th.
