Palmyra, N.Y. – A Fairport woman found dead on Lyons Road Tuesday likely died in a horse riding accident, according to New York State Police.

Kaylee Rizzo-Brien was discovered lying on Lyons Road at about 3:30 p.m.

Rizzo-Brien, 20, had gone riding her horse, but the horse returned to her mother’s farm without Kaylee.

When Cheryl Rizzo found her daughter, she had a massive head injury and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Although the investigation is continuing, police don’t believe she was hit by a car.

An autopsy is being performed Wednesday.

Kaylee lived in Fairport. Her mother and stepfather own the farm where she was riding.
