Canandaigua, N.Y. -  A Geneva woman is facing charges after a seven-year-old child was found wandering around the parking lot at the Walmart in Canandaigua.

27 year old Patricia Smith is charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

State Police say they were called to Walmart around 10 p.m. Friday night after someone reported seeing two children – ages seven and two -- left unattended inside the car.

Investigators say the seven-year-old child got out of the vehicle and was found wandering around.

Troopers say Smith returned to the vehicle - nearly 40 minutes later.
