Greece, N.Y. - Greece Police are increasing patrols after a report of a suspicious incident involving a child headed to school.
The report claimed that the driver of a maroon Ford Explorer SUV with gold molding on the side, pulled into the driveway of a home on Maiden Lane just before 8 a.m. Wednesday. According to the report, a child was standing on a front walkway waiting for a school bus. The report claimed a bald white male wearing a red jacket attempted to approach the child. The child then ran into the house, and the SUV driver left the area, according to police.
Investigators said at this point, there is no evidence indicating the intentions of the man, and whether those intentions are criminal or not.
Greece Police are increasing patrols around bus stops and working with the Greece School District, and the investigation is ongoing.
Greece Police urge anyone with information about the incident to call 911.
