Greece, N.Y. - A 17-year-old high school hockey player is accused of assaulting another player during practice last week.

Greece Police charged Tyler Grimshaw with assault.

He's accused of injuring a 14-year-old player during a Greece Thunder practice last Monday.

The victim suffered a concussion at Lakeshore Hockey Arena.

Grimshaw attends Greece Athena High School.

Kevin Crowe's son plays for Greece Thunder.

"You know, having played sports in high school, we've been in locker rooms...things go on," Crowe said.  "You don't want to hear about kids being injured."

The Greece Central School District is cooperating with the police investigation.

A school district spokeswoman said they learned Grimshaw was arrested on February 10.

She said the school district's code of conduct will determine how Grimshaw will be disciplined at school.
