Rochester, N.Y. - Voter turnout in Monroe County is down slightly from voter turnout percentages in the past two presidential elections.
According to figures released Tuesday evening by Monroe County Board of Elections, 72 percent of voters cast their ballot before 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Turnout as of 8:00 p.m. is 71 percent among registered voters in the city of Rochester, and 73 percent among voters within towns in Monroe County.
In 2008, voter turnout at 8:00 p.m. within Monroe County was 75 percent of voters. Turnout was 73 percent as of 8:00 p.m. in 2004.
