Seneca Falls, N.Y. – Police arrested a man from Lockport for stealing $12,000 of property from a Seneca Falls business.

Jacob N. Schmelzle, 30, was arrested Dec. 4, after a local company reported a large amount of wire was stolen.

Police watched a video of Schmelzle taking wire, putting it in his car, and covering it with a blanket.

He was arraigned in Fayette Town Court, and sent to Seneca County Correctional Facility on $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond.
