Bellona, N.Y. - A man from Horseheads died in a fatal crash Saturday morning in Yates County.
Sheriff's Deputies report Robert Mizener, 70, didn't make the curve on Pre-Emption Road in Bellona shortly before 8:30 a.m.
Investigators said Bellona struck a guard rail, plowed through a lawn and hit a tree before the creek bed finally stopped his car.
Mizener was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
