Rescuers say the water in the river was 37 degrees.

Firefighters arrived at the scene and lowered a harness, secured the man and brought him up.

In all, the rescue effort took place in less than an hour.

Police say the circumstances leading up to the man falling into the river are unknown.

The man is being evaluated by a medical team and police will continue to investigate the situation.
