LONDON (AP) - World vault champion McKayla Maroney of the United States is fine to compete at the Olympics despite breaking her right big toe again during training last week.

Maroney showed no signs of the injury during Thursday's training session, the only opportunity gymnasts have to work on the competition floor before Sunday's preliminaries. She did more than a half-dozen vaults, running full-speed down the runway each time and landing securely.

Maroney broke the toe in May, then aggravated the break in June. When she landed her beam dismount last Thursday, she split the bone even further. She did only light training the next few days to protect the toe.
