LeRoy, N.Y. - In Genesee County, three family members were arrested after two of them allegedly fought with police and sheriff's deputies.
Deputies were at the LeRoy home of Michael Mead, 23, to serve an arrest warrant on Mead for violation of an order of protection.
When they arrived, poice say Michael fought against the arrest.
During that struggle, Michael's father Donald Mead, 49, allegedly hit the officers with a door to get them to release Michael.
Police said Michael's mother, Elaina Mead, 43, went outdoors with a knife and poked it at one of the officers' chests to get them to release her son.
The deputy was able to take the knife from her, but was cut during the altercation.
All three Meads were taken into custody. They were arraigned in LeRoy Town Court.
Charges ranged from assault and possession of a weapon to contempt and harassment.
