Darien, N.Y. - One person was killed and another sent to the hospital after a two-car crash in Darien Wednesday morning.
The accident happened around 6 a.m. on Route 238 near Attica Road in Genesee County.
The crash forced authorities to shut down the road for four hours.
Police say the car Timothy Beszczynski, 25, of Darien, was driving collided head-on with an SUV. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV was 59-year old Mary Dufour of Wyoming County. She was taken to a Buffalo hospital with leg and other injuries.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing. Sheriff's deputies say Mercy Flight had trouble getting to the scene because of poor weather conditions.
