Gates, N.Y. - A Buffalo man is in state police custody after police say he led them on a chase through the town of Gates Wednesday.

Leonard Harrison, 40, was stopped by police around 10 p.m. on Lyell Avenue.

After giving police an invalid license and appearing intoxicated, Harrison sped off -- fleeing police.

Police say he eventually crashed into another car, tried to run off and was taken into custody.

Harrison faces several charges, including felony DWI and reckless endangerment.
