Henrietta, N.Y. – Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 29-year-old man accused of hitting a police deputy with his dad’s car and then taking off.
Police say just before 8 a.m. a deputy was flagged down by the father of Stephon Wolde-Tinsaye, at their home in Henrietta. Police say the suspect drove the vehicle until it became wedged between two other vehicles
in the area of Jefferson Road and Hylan Drive.
Wolde-Tinsaye was arrested.
Police say earlier Tuesday morning, Wolde-Tinsaye stole a Best Western shuttle bus that was parked at the Best Western on Jefferson Road and then tried to rob a woman in the parking lot of the Wilson Farms located on East River Road. No one was hurt.
He’s facing multiple charges including second-degree assault and attempted robbery.
