Leray, N.Y. (AP) - State police say they've arrested a northern New York soldier accused of watching over the Internet as his wife sexually abused a teenage girl while he was stationed in Afghanistan.

They say 22-year-old Shawn Raymo was overseas in July 2011 when he watched via Skype while 21-year-old Jessica Raymo engaged in sex acts with the 15-year-old in Raymo’s home at the Army's Fort Drum. That's the 10th Mountain Division's post just outside Watertown.

Both were arrested Tuesday on charges of using a child younger than 17 in a sexual performance, a felony, and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child.

Troopers say they're being held in jail after being arraigned in the town of Leray court.

Court officials weren't available Wednesday to say if they have lawyers
