Greece, N.Y. - Police took a man into custody overnight who they say was armed and had refused to come out of his house.
Police say the man had been fighting with his wife around 7 p.m. in their home on McGuire Road.
She escaped from the house, and a six-hour standoff ensued. During the standoff, neighbors were asked to stay in their homes. Police said they treated it as a "mental hygiene situation."
The incident ended with no one being hurt.
Roads in the area had been shut down, but have since been re-opened.
No charges were filed against the man.
