Marion, N.Y. -  State Police are investigating three unrelated attempted abductions in Marion, the Town of Ontario and Greece.

The Wayne County Sheriff's office says a girl was walking on Mill Street - just after 6 p.m. in the town of Marion on Monday, February 6 when she was approached by a car.  

The girl reported to deputies that a man sitting inside a car - asked if she wanted a ride. When she said no - the man allegedly grabbed her wrist - but she managed to pull away.

She described the suspect to be wearing ripped jeans and a black hoodie.

The Wayne County School District has sent out an automated message to parents.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office has increased patrols in the Marion area - especially before and after school hours. 

The automated message to parents said a student was walking on Ridge Road by the Ontario Library on Tuesday when she was approached by someone in a white car in the parking lot.  The man said he needed help.  The girl did not go towards the car.

Greece Police said last night a driver approached a 17-year-old jogger on Ridge Road near Stone Road.

The jogger said the car drove away when she pulled out her cell phone.

Authorities are reminding parents to have their children discuss any suspicious activities with them and report any suspicious activities by calling 911.
