A winter weather advisory is in effect until 11 pm this evening for areas east of Rochester.
Light snow will continue to taper going through the overnight. Snow amounts have ranged from 2-5” for most areas. Another inch of two possible by Sunday morning as some lake snow showers and flurries develop overnight. Tonights lows in the lower 20s with a few upper teens possible south of Rochester.
Sunday we’ll find any lake snow showers and flurries ending with a few limited sunny breaks late. The high will be in the upper 20s.
Monday won’t be as cold with mostly cloudy skies for New Year’s Eve. The high will reach the lower to middle 30s.
A cold front will cross the region New Year’s Day with lake effect snow developing.
Expect a high Tuesday in the upper 20s. Arctic air will return by the middle and end of next week with lake snow becoming more of a concern.
