Rochester, N.Y. - A Rochester woman is facing arson charges for a New Year's Day fire that destroyed two buildings.

Police say 20-year-old Kimberly Smith set fire to a Columbia Avenue apartment building in January because of an ongoing fight with one of the residents.

The people inside at the time of the fire were able to escape unharmed.

Smith had been traveling between and living in Georgia and Rochester since the fire.

Smith was arrested in Gates Monday night.
