Rochester, N.Y. - It's a new war on drugs that is rapidly changing and making it difficult for authorities to stop.
Drugs known as bath salts and fake marijuana are being sold online and at stores under many names.
"The real issue is the Internet," DEA Special Agent James Burns said. "You can't control where people go on the Internet and what they spend their money on."
A website called the Tab Garden Center was selling a chemical that promised to change your garden forever.
Authorities say the business was operating out of a house in Rochester.
The company was selling these designer drugs for about $300 for just a few sprinkles of what looks like marijuana.
Another website claimed to sell a similar item as a bonsai tree fertilizer.
"That would be about $8,000 for two pounds of bonsai tree fertilizer," said Jim Wesley, a drug analyst at Monroe County's Crime Lab.
The State Health Department has told businesses to stop selling these so-called bath salts.
The Drug Enforcement Administration also wants the federal government to stop this online drug trade.
Until that happens, drug agents will keep hunting for these synthetic products, which tend to come from overseas.
