I live downtown right next to the Strong Museum of Play. There are 10s of thousands of crows roosting within the inner loop every night. The trees look like they are covered with Christmas tree ornments - a crow for every branch. Yes, there is a whole lot of poop and yes it is pretty gross if we go too long without rain. Or street sweepers. But then the human trash thrown all over the streets competes with it as well. I'll tell ya what. If you can manage to train the humans not to cover the side walks with trash and cigarette butts - messing up the place where the birds etc. live then we'll talk about making the birds clean up after themselves. Do not waste $20,000 chasing birds out of downtown. Run the street sweepers more often and give someone a job. Not only will we clean up bird poop we'll clean up people detritis as well.
