Fairport, N.Y. -- David Deaugustine, 71, pleaded guilty to child pornography charges, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Prosecutors say investigators found more than 600 obscene visual depictions of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct on Deaugustine's personal computer.
The investigation into Deaugustine began in 2005. Authorities discovered the images when they executed a search warrant on his home.
In 2008, Deaugustine was arrested by New York State Police after they say he accessed images and videos from a library computer. Deaugustine is a retired computer programmer who used to work for the Monroe County Library System.
Deaugustine faces a maximum sentence of ten years in prison and a $250,000 fine. His sentencing is scheduled for October 9th.
