Bolivar, N.Y. (AP) - Police say two young children and their grandmother have died in a fire and two other people escaped it.
The children, ages 2 and 3, and their 43-year-old grandmother died early Sunday. Authorities say a man described as a friend of the grandmother escaped the fire with a 1-year-old child. The child is being treated at a hospital.
The fire broke out shortly before 4:15 a.m. It is being investigated by Allegany County and state fire investigators.
