Macedon, N.Y .- Macedon Police arrested three people following an investigation into the fraudulent production and cashing of computer generated payroll checks.

Police said they were called to the Lyons National Bank on Route 31 Wednesday afternoon after bank officials stated Brianna Meecham was trying cash a fraudulent payroll check and was using another person’s driver’s license.

Authorities said when they pulled up Meecham was running out of the bank and into a vehicle in which Mark Mathis and Michael Walker was waiting.

Police said the three attempted to flee, but were apprehended.

Meecham is charged with first-degree forgery, criminal possession of a forged instrument, and identity theft.

Both Mathis and Walker are charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument, identity theft and petit larceny.

Macedon Police said prior to these arrests, they were able to assist the New York State Police in resolving similar crimes by the same three subjects.
