Perry Man Dies In Car Crash

West Sparta, N.Y. – Francis Nicklas, 66, is dead after he drove his car off the road Saturday around 5 p.m. and crashed into a tree stump, according to police.

Livingston County police say Nicklas, who is from Perry, was transported to Noyes Hospital in Dansville, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say Nicklas was driving alone after he had been out hunting with friends.  He hadn’t traveled far before the crash happened. 

Nicklas may have suffered from a medical issue which may have caused him to crash his car, according to police.
