Rochester, N.Y. - The Geminid meteor shower peaks tonight and into the early hours of Friday morning.
13WHAM Meteorologist says the shower is expected to begin around 10 p.m. and peak around 2 a.m.
At its maximum, over 100-150 meteors could streak across the sky per hour.
Chief Meteorologist Glenn Johnson says typically we don't see meteor showers in December in the Rochester area. But because of the clear weather there is a good potential tonight.
Just make sure to wear a jacket as temperatures should be around 30°.
