The young man told authorities he was sleeping in the buff and was startled when he found a spider in his bed.
He crashed through a glass storm door while running away.
Edwards County Sheriff Darby Boewe says authorities responded to a number of reports of a bloody streaker in the area.
The Evansville Courier and Press reports by the time the law showed up, the guy had returned home and put on some shorts.
He was treated at a hospital for the cuts. The sheriff doesn't suspect drugs or alcohol were involved in the spider scare.
