Rochester, N.Y. – Main Street was closed and filming was in full swing again in downtown Rochester for 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2’.
Crowds of people tried to get a glimpse of the action from nearly every street and alley way from Plymouth Street to South Ave. along Main Street.
“We're trying to get a glimpse of the movie,” said Aaron Bostick who stood behind barriers with his Dad, Mike Bostick.
“Between him and I we own so many super hero movies it's not even funny,” said Mike Bostick, “but I definitely wanted to come down here and see if we could catch a glimpse of Spider-Man.”
The sound of gun fire and stunt men suspended from cables for a fight scene were the highlights in Sunday morning’s action.
Six-year-old Jack Frick stood by a barrier in his Spider-Man suit trying to see the superhero.
When asked if he ever thought a superhero would be in his hometown he answered, “Yup,” without a doubt in his mind. When asked why he thought that, Jack said, “For saving people.”
But even with all the excitement, the inconvenience of the filming dims the bright lights of Hollywood for some.
“It's hard catching the bus because the buses aren't only late but they're rushing to get out,” said Mallory Stevens as she waited for the bus with her daughter.
On the flip side, Stevens said she likes to see all the people in downtown Rochester and hopes it extends beyond the filming.
“There are a lot of people who come just to see a filming you can't really see,” said Stevens. “Imagine what they would come and see if there was something down here that was attractive.”
Filming will continue through May 9th.
