Rochester, N.Y. – An issue with Monroe County’s computer network caused the 911 Call Center computer to go down from 11:44 a.m. to 12:34 p.m. Thursday.
The cause of the issue is unclear, but it did not impact any telephones or radios.
According to the City of Rochester, all incoming 911 calls were able to be answered and first responders were dispatched normally.
In case of network problems, emergency services has a back-up plan in place, which went into effect Thursday.
The 911 Call Center is not operating normally.
