Camp Good Days seeks help after storm

Branchport, N.Y. -- Camp Good Days has been damaged by Tuesday night's storm.
It's a place along Keuka Lake where thousands of children touched by cancer go for fun and support every summer.
The camp cancelled this weekend's camping event. The next one is only two weeks away.
Camp Good Days is hoping to get the help it needs so it doesn't have to cancel any more scheduled events.
Communications Director Phil Martello said the storm rushed through and caused severe damage at the recreation center on West Lake Road.
The storm caused the creek at the camp to flood the area. Several cabins were covered in mud and water because the water level rose so high, making them unusable.
The storm also toppled numerous trees and fences, ripped out parts of the camp's beach and damaged relatively new bedrocks.
"Kids look forward to this all year long," said Martello. "It's the highlight of their summer, and if it we don't find the right help or the right amount of volunteers it'll be tough to make it happen on time."
Martello said Camp Good Days can use any help the community can offer. You can get involved by calling (585) 624-5555.
