Hamlin, N.Y. - Tense moments during a Hamlin town meeting Tuesday, as the town supervisor alleged a town employee misused town resources.
The Hamlin Town Supervisor Tom Breslawski slammed an envelope of documents he says prove the Town Dog Control Officer Dave Maynard was using town resources to gain support for the other candidate running for town supervisor during the meeting.
Maynard is the administrator of the Hamlin dog shelters Facebook page.
Breslawski claims he used that page to gain support for Eric Peters, who is running against Breslawski this November.
He's bulling me because I don't back him in the upcoming election and he's taking it out on the people of the shelter and that's not right, said Dave Maynard.
Breslawski has temporarily shut down the shelters Facebook page because he said Maynard was misusing it.
I was a very strong propionate of hiring Mr. Maynard when he was hired about a year and a half ago and worked very well with him until he decided to take this political turn for the worse, said Breslawski.
The documents have been turned over the District Attorney.
The Hamlin Animal Shelter remains open and will remain open, according to Breslawski.
Since January of this year they have adopted out 30 dogs.
