Anchorage Alaska - Bail has been set at $1 million for the man charged in the fatal ambush of two Alaska police officers, one with ties to Rochester.

Tony Wallace spent more than a decade in Rochester as a student, Hall of Fame wrestler and campus police officer.

John Marvin Jr. faces two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Wallace and another officer over the weekend.  Marvin made his first court appearance Tuesday in Juneau. He faces 99 years in prison on each count if convicted, and is due back in court next week.

A procession of police cars escorted the hearses carrying the bodies of the officers to an Anchorage funeral home on Tuesday.
